2024 Empowerment Program Highlights
This year’s empowerment initiative includes:
Food distribution to members of the community.
₦400,000 Business Grant for vulnerable widows.
Support for 40 physically challenged individuals.
Grant Awardees
What a beautiful vision! Celebrating the journeys and successes of these widows not only honors their resilience but also empowers them to create lasting change in their communities. The support they receive can truly help them flourish and inspire others. Let’s hope they use this opportunity to build brighter futures for themselves and those around them!
Screening Criteria:
The screening evaluated 88 widows’ business proposals on sustainability, community impact, revenue potential, inclusivity (2 Muslims and 2 Christians), and employment generation. Covering sectors like expansion, rental, farming, tailoring, and restaurants, the rigorous assessment empowers selected widows to build sustainable livelihoods and benefit their communities.
Grant Screening Exercise Volunteers
The 2024 Business Grant Screening Exercise was held on October 1st at the CCMF headquarters, supported by 10 volunteers from diverse professional backgrounds. The team included Moses Amiebenomo, Etenf Joshua, Yusuf Kudirat Oytza, Olajide Maryam Oluwatiyin, Enobakhare Ekinadose Maryany, Bobade Mary Temitope, Yohanna Gabriel, Ukpong-Abasi Asuquo, Musa Isah Ojochide, and Hamna Amina Haruna, who all contributed their expertise to the process.
